Color is All Around Us
June sails in on a wave of color! Flowers are blooming, trees are in full-leaf splendor and the sky is a magical hue of blue. These days beckon us outside to use our senses and soak it in.
An easy activity to get kids (or yourself) to slow down and really LOOK is to make a nature color match wheel. Next time you are at your favorite “home improvement” store, pick up some paint chip cards, the more the merrier. Trim the cards into individual colors, punch holes, add a binder ring…and voila! You have an easy to carry color hunt. Ready to go at a moment’s notice. Small enough to carry in the car, your purse or pocket, diaper bag or backpack. Good for anywhere in the great outdoors! The “hunt” will entertain kids and adults alike.
